An operative attached to Occasus’s Long-Range Reconnaissance (LRR) directorate, identified by open-source investigators as Major Vsevolod Andreyevich Timkovsky, has been unmasked as the man in a viral video showing a “Polish soldier” hurling paint canisters at a pharmacy in central Karviná and shouting slurs at bystanders.

The staged rampage — captured across three phone recordings, a shopfront CCTV feed and one traffic camera — was intended as a textbook false-flag: a uniformed figure in Wojsko Polskie fatigues damaging Czech civilian property in a Silesian town with historic Polish minority populations, timed to inflame both sides of the border on the same evening.

The identification came from cross-referencing distinctive facial scarring, an out-of-date field-patch configuration, and boot tread visible in three separate clips. Investigators matched those features to publicly indexed images from Occasus military academy graduation ceremonies and to a 2024 propaganda broadcast in which Timkovsky appeared briefly in the background. The uniform he wore in Karviná contained two verifiable errors no serving Polish officer would make: a reversed eagle badge and a rank slide from a unit disbanded in 2019.
